CONTACT INFORMATION

If you are new to the island, we ask you to refer to the maps and rules of the National Park Service. The office phone number is 912-882-4335. Cumberland is protected as a National Seashore, and so we encourage you to learn as much about the island as possible before making a visit.

A limited number of people per day are allowed, and access is by ferry from St. Mary’s, Ga. Ferry reservations can be made by calling 912-882-4335. Camping is allowed, but reservations must be made through the park office. There are fees for the ferry, entering the Park, and for camping. A small portion of the island remains in private hands, but most of its acreage is now under the auspices of the National Park Service. The Nature Conservancy has also recently become a landowner on the island, having purchased one of the last large tracts of land in the central part of the island.
